The participant in our nation’s capital is DCU. Situated in the North of the city, the University has been ecologically conscious from its foundation, and students there aim to save more energy than the other participants combined. Big talk!
DCU is a modern campus and should do well in energy saving. Students and the University are keen to save energy and save the planet. They’ll benefit from a host of advice and information from Student SwitchOff on keeping those bills and CO2 emissions down.
Student Switch Off is a sustainability campaign running at DCU which supports and encourages students living in halls of residence to save energy and water, as well as recycle.
All students living on campus are part of the energy saving plan, but we’re gathering data from College Park. If you live in one of the residences you are automatically taking part in the competition but visit our get involved page to find out how you can do more and win individual prizes like Ben & Jerry’s, return rail tickets and other great prizes.
At the end of the year, the hall that saves the most energy & recycles the best will win a prize!
Student Switch Off provides a platform for students to take personal action on the Climate Crisis.
The campaign runs in universities across Europe and in the past 12 years we have…
Each and every small action contributes to our collective impact, so thanks to students at DCU for being part of Student Switch Off!
